Auf Wiedersehen 58′ Semi Cruiser
Swan No.9 Mike and Ulrike arrived at the workshop with the vision to build their perfect narrowboat, with a good hint of yellow!
Spec finalised and it was on with the build process, they opted for 58 foot, semi cruiser with all the “bells and whistles” The 8 foot deck provides ample seating, with a removable table for some alfresco dining and drinks. Stepping into the galley, full size 12v fridge and freezer, 4 ring gas powered hob and very sparkly quartz work surfaces. Electrics wise mike specified a 3kw Victron combi, 4 deep cycle leisure batteries and 500w semi flexible solar panels with a victron smart MPPT controller.
In the lounge a pullman dinette, this allows the table to drop down to make a bed for any visitors staying. A smart TV connected to the on board WiFi system. A morso squirrel also fitted for a heating alternative to the eberspacher diesel fired heating system.
Bathroom compromises of solid stone quartz work surfaces in white sparkle, quadrant shower and thetford cassette toilet with full size wash basin. Lots of towel storage and cupboards for all the essentials.
The final room on the boat, the bedroom. An ottoman style bed which also pulls out to make a standard full size “double” storage everywhere you look. No wasted space with the overhead storage, under bed, corner draw set and a wardrobe with LED hanging rails.
The exterior of the boat in the ever popular grey combo with yellow and white details. Caldwells black powder coated windows to compliment the glass finish coach paint. LED deck lights front and rear add to the modern twist to a traditional look. Fresh, modern and usable.
Beta marine 43 was the engine of choice for the propulsion, a firm favourite with the team at Swan Boat Builders. The best and only choice.
Mike and Ulrike were an absolute joy to work with start to finish, we wish them many happy years aboard. Overwhelmed and very happy to be part of building your dream boat, Happy Cruising guys!
